Toshiba Qosimo X770 Laptop

We cater to all industries at Vernon Computer Source – we don’t discriminate against what sort of laptops we rent out to our North American business clients.

Gaming makes up a lucrative portion of the IT market at this time, and it’s a segment that most of the manufacturers are beginning to target. And because gamers (and the developers who make the games in the first place) are a finicky bunch who expect a nice FPS rate (frames per second) performance is often key.

We write a lot about Lenovo around here because that particular company tends to manufacture a great deal of the nicer gaming laptops.

But there are others out there that also deserve attention.

Take Toshiba’s latest venture into this arena, the 17.3 inch Qosimo X770. It’s got all of the bells and whistles you would expect – a 16:9 aspect ratio, a backlit LED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge CPU and 8GB of memory.

To boost it over the top, the Qosimo notebook comes fully equipped with all manner of 3D innovation. It comes with an integrated IR receiver, a 3D webcam, active shutter glasses, and full compatibility for Nvidia’s  3D vision technology.

It also comes with the highly coveted Nvidia 1.5GB GTX 560M graphics card, which is rumored to supply an insane 50 FPS and “real world” picture quality. As per Nvidia officials, “The GeForce GTX 560M graphics processor hits the “sweet spot” for gaming notebooks by delivering a no-compromise gaming experience at full 1080p resolution in the hottest new DirectX 11 titles. For the first time, leading OEMs will also be offering GeForce GTX gaming GPUs with NVIDIA Optimus technology.”

This is an impressive inclusion for Qosimo, which isn’t the prettiest of machines (but what it lacks in appearance it more than makes up for in performance).

Other companies are getting on board behind the gamer revolution – MSI just shipped out its first gaming laptop shipment (the GT683R) – which features similar specifications to the Toshiba Qosimo X770.

So. Gamers can expect to be served from various manufacturers and pricing points – and we’re happy to service the corporate gamer internationally. Need a high-end laptop rental to process your editorial, developer or graphic design related needs?
