When a non-profit educational association contacted Vernon for help with an upcoming local event, we were happy to assist with their plans. Their annual event for students was on the horizon, and their event planners needed projector rentals for presentations that would be given to students. Having worked with non-profit organizations before, Vernon was comfortable working closely with the Association to provide the best technology to fit their logistical requirements and their budget.
What did they need?
The Association had a couple of firm requests for their event. Part of the event included over 60 break-out sessions, wherein staff were to give self-made presentations. In conjunction with the Association’s cost-saving initiative, each presenter would bring the presentations on their own laptop or mobile device. Those devices would then be hooked up to on-site projectors. When the Association contacted our Georgia team, we offered several potential options that would offer the connections they needed, and achieve their cost-savings goal by coordinating with their “bring your own device” approach.
The projectors provided needed to support both VGA and HDMI connections, which are the most common external hook ups for the devices the presenters would be bringing. After coordinating with the Association’s event staff, Vernon Computer Source provided a total of 75 1080p HDMI projector rentals for all 60+ breakout sessions.
With the help of the Vernon team, the event concluded with dozens of successful sessions and presentations. At the end of the event, the Association successfully stayed within their technology budget by opting for Vernon projector rentals that best matched their BYOD initiative.
