iPad 2 (when will we see iPad 3?)

The latest rumblings from the rumor mill indicate that we can expect to see iPad 3 in first quarter of 2012. From tech blogs to the Christian Science Monitor, we’re all waiting with baited breath to see what Apple—the original frontiers in the tablet space—comes up with next.

Here’s the latest speculation:

  • New Camera

The quality of the camera on iPad 2 has not been met well with critics. Perhaps your next FaceTime or Skype session will show the faces of yourself and your colleagues with a greater clarity on the iPad 3.

  • Thicker Body

Some reviewers have predicted a thicker design attributed to a bigger battery specifically for 4G LTE compatibility.

  • HD Display

The new iPad 3 is said to hold double the resolution of the iPad 2, to provide a full high-definition display.

  • A 7.85-inch Sister

The latest to come from the tech world’s speculation is the dual release of a mini-counterpart – a 7.85-inch screen will follow the larger iPad 3 later in 2012. This is said to be a result of the competition posed by small tablets like Amazon’s Kindle Fire – stripped down, but at a much lower price.

While all of these remain conjecture in the interim, there is one thing you can count on. When the iPad 3 hits the market, Vernon Computer Source will have it available to rent.
