Here at Vernon Computer Source, and our European partner, Hamilton Rentals, we offer over $40 million dollars worth of inventory. And a large chunk of that inventory is comprised of the world’s cutting edge servers from a variety of tier one manufacturers, such as HP, IBM, Sun and others.

Curious as to how we can help your company?

Well, we deliver globally, and nearly all of our server rental offerings are VMware compatible. If you want to learn more about what kind of products you can rent from us, read on:

HP

Proliant DLs and MLs -- We offer several different varieties of these servers, but they are essentially high-end separate boxes. However, they can be synced up with a back-end SAN and a Raid 10 configuration to work as multiple hosts. It’s compatible with VMware, in that instance.

Proliant ML– Big, stand-alone, on-premise server hosts ideal for SMBs (small businesses). These can also be used for in-house virtualization, but a start-up can do VMware syncing. Aside from SMBs, these are also good for lower-end shops, mom & pops and smaller IT companies.

Proliant DL – Ditto. Although these are slightly “fancier” than the MLs, they serve a similar purpose.

HP G6/G7 Blade Servers – These are appealing to large enterprise companies and data centers for the purpose of cloud hosting. These blade servers are the peak of redundancy – for those businesses that cannot risk outages. There’s a low risk of failover. A company with multiple terminal and exchange needs might opt for this option. While these do not offer internal storage, it can be achieved with a SAN.

C7000 Enclosure – Enclosures for the above G6 and G7 blades.

IBM

Blade Center – Similar to the HP C7000 Enclosures just mentioned.

X Series – Similar to HP DL and ML.

P720 Power7 – This is an internal host-enabling “one socket server.” These are ideal for medium to large-sized green-minded companies because they offer performance as well as a focus on energy savings.

IBM Storage DS4700 – General purpose, business class SANs with SAS & SATA options and fiber channels.. SATA is good for lots of pictures, high res images (good for marketing firms).General purpose, business class SANs. Higher end. Has inborn mirroring and can accept SSDs (solid state drives). Even though this is considered mid level – it has fancier features.

Sun

Sun Fire X Series – AMD.

Sun Blade Modules– Similar to other blade servers.

Sun SPARC (T) – A “risk-based” processor. 16 core processor – used for a bunch of medium-sized virtualization machines. Has built-in virtualization servers. Runs x86 and Oracle VM.  Efficient for running up to 128 simultaneous threads of execution – up to 128 virtual machines running at the same time. Good for cloud hosting – ideal for businesses with web developing services, or those that already have a large Sun and Oracle-based infrastructure. We offer premium M5000 and M9000 models for rent for those desiring the highest level of performance.

General

Solid State Flash Arrays – These are serious business, meant for databases that do high transactions. They are enterprise-level and good for internal hosting – particularly for usage with a large SQL backend. This is the perfect solution for Fortune 500 companies. These are also known as a “solid state SAN.”
