
Panasonic, the electronic manufacturing giant reputed for producing ruggedly reliable PCs, has come out with a sturdy tablet named Toughpad A1.
The company said that this tablet is especially designed to withstand unfriendly environments like military combat or adverse climatic conditions. Panasonic has said that this tablet will effectively function in extreme temperatures up to 122 degree Celsius.
Toughpad A1 will be capable of resisting damages caused by sand or water. This tablet will not incur any damages even if it is dropped from four feet high. The company said that this device will be available in the market by the beginning of 2012. Toughpad A1 will soon be added to our tablet rentals services.
This tablet will have Marvell 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and will run on Android 3.2. This 10.1inch tablet will have 1GB RAM and 16GB storage. The display resolution of this tablet will be 1024 x 768 megapixels. Toughpad A1 will have a 2 megapixel camera at the front and another 5 megapixel camera at the back. The battery of this device will last for 10 hours. The display is designed to be readable even in bright daylight.
This tablet features dual-factor authentication, device management and custom deployment provisions which are not available on other tablets. The company is hopeful that people in different professions like military, construction, steel works, and healthcare will appreciate this sturdy device. Panasonic has also said that Toughpad B1, a 7-inch version of this tablet too will be made available to consumers soon.
