iPad Rentals Work for Digital Event Planner Oddly Studios Inc.
We are the world’s largest supplier of iPad rentals – but we can still appreciate personal feedback from clients. Especially when they’re an actual, in-the-field provider of event solutions. Recently, we spoke with Allison Sullovey, the operations manager and events coordinator at Oddly Studios Inc., about her experience with our iPads.
Here’s how the conversation went: Erin: Hello Allison. If I may ask – what, exactly, does Oddly Studios Inc. do? Allison: Oddly Studios Inc. was established in 2007 by Tim Willison. Beginning as a digital marketing and advertising company, Oddly Studios Inc has come to specialize in social media, distribution technologies and digital content. From consultation to completed project, we build things that entertain, inform, educate and excite in a refreshingly inventive manner. Created, designed and written by Oddly Studios comes Canada’s first digital fashion magazine available on the iPad, Medium Magazine. As an aside, I encourage you to join our online fashion community and follow us @MediumMag. Erin: What kind of client base do you usually service? Allison: We have two main client bases based on our two main operations: Oddly Studios Inc. and Medium Magazine. Oddly Studio’s client base for events ranges from young professionals to creative directors from some of the country’s leading interactive agencies. Medium, on the other hand, primarily serves the fashion industry, specifically fashion writers, bloggers and designers. Erin: You used our affiliate, ITX’, iPad rentals for a recent event. What did you think? Allison: We recently used ITXchange’s iPad rentals for the Launch of our digital fashion magazine. There is nothing like the feeling of being able to tap a screen and see a model change clothing, or being able to turn a product in a full 360 view. It makes a new way to browse and shop possible with the use of the iPad. We were extremely happy with the way we were able to integrate promo girls featuring the magazine on tablet into the event. Erin: Do you feel like iPads have a place in the future of event execution? Allison: iPad’s represent new potential in the event industry. They enable guests to interact directly with content, and therefore become much more engaged than with traditional print magazines or tablet computers. I highly recommend the use of iPad’s to any event planner who requires a way to encourage mixing and mingling. As an event coordinator I use them both for the planning and pitching of events, as well as within the event itself. |
