Internet Is a God-Given Right: Server Rental News

The UN has just declared that disconnecting people from the Internet is a violation against international law which is probably one of the most pivotal points in technopolitical history. In a time where computer and server rental business is reliant on international agreement of Internet right, this could change things for the small dictatorships in the future.

This measure passed by the UN is responsive to any government being able to shut off the Internet on a whim, as it is a necessary way of communication and sharing information.

"There should be as little restriction as possible to the flow of information via the Internet, except in few, exceptional, and limited circumstances prescribed by international human rights law," the report says.

The UN understands that shutting the internet down could be a means of stopping cyber attacks and in terms of anti-piracy. Though, articles like those in the French Government's legislature that allow it to cut off Internet at any moment may be halted in the future. Apparently France can disconnect anyone from the Internet as a means of an anti-piracy measure.

The recent rebellions in Egypt and in the Middle East have shown the Internet as a huge motivation for the young population against the government. With Facebook adding momentum to the revolts that occurred, governments tried to silence this Internet communication in hopes of stopping the rebellion short. This new UN legislaturecould put these Web issues into international hands.

What does this mean for Americans? This would just ensure that our Internet freedom remains so, based on international law. Checks and balances have now spread to the Web, and as Internet being a Godgiven right for humanity—not a finger shall be laid on our beloved Internet.

Server rental equipment now will be free of government regulation thanks to this new international legislature. The Internet can once again graze free in its bright green fields of emails and cookies.
