An article was recently published in the Tillsonburg News about a new computer program. It is aimed at providing people of all ages with education on how to use computers. “We'll work with them so they learn everything from the basics of how to use a mouse, type, to using social network sites, setting up email, downloading music," Sergeant said.”
I think this is a great program initiative. It is a program that should be implemented in all cities. There are many people within our communities that are lost when it comes to the computer. With the advancements of technology, it is important that everyone be on a median page. The Baby Boomers are those who suffer a great deal because they are not used to the computer.
If every city were to implement such a program, then the general public would be more informed with how to use computers. Even if the community were to restrict it to 50 people and get laptop rentals for those who don’t have their own, at least an additional 50 people will have knowledge of the computer.
