Computer Rentals Also Mourns the Loss of Steve Jobs
It's the news sweeping the world: Apple's co-founder and mastermind Steve Jobs died last night after battling pancreatic cancer. Other than the sheer loss of a human life, the news of his death is exceptionally moving for the public because of what he brought through his technological innovations and branding through Apple. I know I personally, had ironically read of Jobs' death on my iPhone, like so many others who have reported receiving the news on their mobile Apple device. He was once described by a friend as a real-life Willy Wonka of our time, but instead of bringing us seemingly magical candy through experimentation and thinking outside of the box, he brought revolutionary technology that blew our minds as consumers. The power of a computer in a phone, or in a tablet even smaller than your monitor. While we carry many different brands here at Vernon, he made the computer rental business fun with the latest products from Apple. And it's funny that the creative helm of this industry attracts our most creative customer base, who have shown the greatest demand for MacBooks and iMacs. In the social media department, we get to keep up with the latest from the rumor mill as the industry's fascination with the mega-force Jobs made Apple into allowed speculation to flourish as the company always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone else. Jobs was only 56, and his loss to cancer cut short years more of technological innovation. But he set the ball rolling, and hopefully Apple can maintain the momentum set by him. We look forward to the future that Apple holds, and hope to see continued success and exiting new products as we did with Jobs at the forefront.
