Why Vancouver
Canada is known for its groundbreaking research in the area of hydrogen fuel cells, and this country is home to many of the world's experts in the field.
As the conference website states, Vancouver is a hub for "...hydrogen and fuel cell R&D and demonstrations and is home to arguably the world´s largest cluster of companies and research institutions."
Not to mention, it is a beautiful city and a great place to visit. If you plan to attend HFC 2009, you are sure to have a wonderful time. The event itself is being hosted in a brand new building at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. (If you plan to exhibit, know that this centre is easily accessible to equipment suppliers, like AV and computer rentals companies, trade show display vendors, and other trade show rental firms.)
The new building was designed with green technology in mind and includes a 6–acre green roof with more than 400,000 indigenous plants. It also includes seawater heating and cooling, on-site water treatment, and a fish habitat built right into the facility.
If your business has an interest in alternative fuels, then HFC 2009 is the place to be.
