Another giant in the tablet industry, Samsung, maker of the popular Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab, is also developing new stylus technology to accompany what it seems as tablets even beyond those of its own.
A newly won patent shows Samsung is developing a stylus that includes a wireless headset in the clip, enabling voice calls without the need for a separate earpiece. It even seeks to include NFC to pair the pen with a host device.
Taiwanese company Asus revealed a similar development for its Padfone phone and tablet; a capacitive stylus with similar voice-calling abilities through its built-in transmitter. It does not include the addition of NFC, however.
