HP launched its latest multimedia notebook, called the Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition.
The slim laptop is marketed with a Beats Audio theme, an affordable price tag, and brilliant performance.
The 14-inch HP Pavilion sports a red and black cover and the keys of the keyboard are also in the same color. The laptop design is slick with a matte finish. Another bonus is portability – the slim and lightweight design is at just 1.27 inches and 4.33 pounds.
The laptop was also built for durability with a strong chassis and the surfaces have a sealant that is scratch-resistant.
The screws under the bottom panel are hidden under a secondary panel. This makes it a little hard to upgrade the hard drive as removing the components is tricky. The hard drive, wireless card and RAM are all replaceable and it fits up to 16GB-1333 DDR3 memory.
The HP Pavilion dm4 features a decent port selection, which includes VGA and 6-in-1 memory card reader. The ports can be hooked on to an external monitor or HDTV. It also includes two super speed USB 3.0 ports and three other normal USB ports. Although a normal mainstream laptop houses only up to four USB ports.
The dm4 has an anti-glare display with a screen resolution of 1600x900, along with LED backlighting. The clarity is excellent on its 14-inch screen, even though the dm4’s contrast ratio is a little low.
However, this laptop does deliver high quality audio with exceptionally crisp volume levels, when compared with other notebooks. For more impressive laptops like the dm4, you could rent a laptop from our varied collections. Learn more using the quote form to the right.
