"BelongingsFinder.org" Reunites Displaced Japanese With Their Belongings
In the tablet rental industry, we get a lot of calls for the latest products – and often in bulk. Media planners, corporate event types and even small business people want to take advantage of this new, lightweight technology to boost their appearance – and their mobility. The Apple iPad was out of the gate first and gleaned the most attention out of any of the tablet products, but that’s no surprise. Apple has proven a consistent innovator, especially when it comes to wireless products. And while the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the HP Slate 500 are quality products in their own right, they’ve lived in the iPad’s shadows. But all of that's changed. Just a few days ago, Samsung revealed its next generation Galaxy Tab, which they are billing as version “10.1.” The new Tab runs on Google’s latest Android OS, Honeycomb 3.0. And it also runs on a 1GHz dual-core Hummingbird processor. While it’s uncertain as to whether or not the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be an “iPad killer,” this latest release has caused several respected tech magazines to look closely at this newest option. Invariably, comparisons between the Apple and the Samsung have emerged, and many of them are favorable. The one I noted the most distinctively was an opinion expressed in Fortune magazine. The writer, Seth Weintraub, said, that when it comes to speed, “Samsung has matched, if not surpassed, the iPad 2.” Need speed? The Galaxy Tab might be just what you need. So, think carefully when choosing between the two products. They run on two very different processors (and operating systems) – and each has their own benefits. But that shouldn’t be surprising, because these tablets come from two very different manufacturers. For those looking to buy, the new Samsung Galaxy Tabs will be available June 8 and will come in both $499 and $599 versions (16 GB-32GB respectively).
