20after1 Dishes on Seattle, Next-Gen Video Games and Computer Rentals
We recently had a chance to interview one of our favorite clients about their recent computer rental experience. Seattle-based 20after1 has some pretty impressive clients on its roster, including Compass Technologies, Crystal Dynamics, Studio G Productions, the San Francisco Jazz Heritage Center and the UC Berkeley Center for Labor Research and Education. So we were more than a little excited to interview Sean Vesce, the company’s founder, about what his company has been doing lately. Erin: What are you guys up to at 20after1? Sean: Our background in is design and production management of large scale next-gen video games. The past two years we have been providing a wide range of design and development services to a variety of clients in the arts and interactive entertainment industries. Erin: You’re located in Seattle and we hear the vibe there is pretty cool. Would you agree? Sean: Seattle is a really special city -- diverse communities, great public transportation, excellent school system, and vibrant technology, arts and cultural scenes. The people are open, friendly and easy-going. The quality of life is outstanding, especially for families, with quick access to nature, tons and tons of activities, and low crime rates. We absolutely love it. Erin: Have you got any special products or projects in the works that you want to tell us about? Sean: Over the past year, we developed some cool tools to help our clients collaboratively plan and analyze their long-range headcount forecasting. It’s been well received through its beta and we are working hard on the first public release this fall. Erin: You’ve rented IT equipment from Vernon Computer Source before. What’s your feedback? Sean: The service and support from the team at Vernon was outstanding. They secured and configured the equipment I needed on very short notice and offered us a very favorable rate. We will definitely be using them in the future and would recommend them to others. |
